Learn how to activate the tip feature on your Nets SmartPOS terminal so customers can easily add a gratuity before completing payment. The feature must first be enabled by our customer service team, after which you can set it up directly on your terminal using the settings menu.
Request activation from our customer service
Before you can enable tipping on your SmartPOS terminal, contact our customer service team so they can activate the feature for your account. Once the feature has been enabled, you can activate it on your terminal.
Activate tips on your SmartPOS terminal
- From the Settings menu, select Business.
- Select Enable Tips.
- Choose the tip type:
- Smart tips – automatic tip suggestions
- Custom tips – manual tip entry
- Select whether to use a Fixed amount or Percentage tip.
Tip settings apply only to the current terminal. If you use multiple devices, repeat the steps for each one.
