Refunds should be returned to the same payment method you originally used for the purchase. If the merchant has confirmed that a refund has been processed, but you still haven’t received the money, here’s how to check the refund depending on your payment method.
💻 Online bank refunds
- Bank transfers may take a few business days due to interbank processing delays.
- The refund is sent to the same account you used when paying.
- It may appear in your online bank under the original transaction date.
💳 Card refunds (debit/credit)
Refunds to cards can appear in a few different ways:
- As a credit in your card’s transaction history.
The refund may appear 1–15 banking days after it’s initiated or on the original purchase date.
Note: It will not show in account transactions, only card transactions. - As a credit on your credit card statement.
This may not show in daily transaction history but will be visible on your next statement. - Not sure where to look?
Contact your card issuer if you need help identifying the refund.
MobilePay refunds
- Refunds do not show up directly in MobilePay’s transaction history but in your card transactions. See above card refunds description.
- Depending on the card connected (credit or debit), the refund will follow card refund behavior.
- If the refund is made on the same day as the original payment, it might:
- Adjust the amount of the original charge
- Or cause the original charge to disappear from your history
