How to transfer funds to your merchant account

Learn how to transfer funds to your Paytrail merchant account using the Merchant panel. This feature helps you cover refunds or increase your available balance in real time. You’ll see step-by-step instructions, supported banks, ensuring your transfer is successful and your merchant account remains ready for customer payments.

Step by step: Transfer funds

  1. Sign in to the Merchant panel.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Transfer funds.
  3. Enter the amount you want to transfer from your bank account to your merchant account and click Pay.

    • You must have the Manage payments role to complete a transfer.
    • Transfers can be made through OP, Nordea, Danske Bank, S-Pankki, POP Pankki, Oma SP, Aktia, Säästöpankki, and Ålandsbanken.
    • Your merchant account balance updates in real time.

If no refund has been made before the next settlement, the transferred funds will be paid out to you with the settlement.

Danske Bank business customers: If you are transferring from a business account, make sure the default role in your online banking is not set to personal account access. You can adjust this from the top menu. Once the business account is selected, the transfer will succeed.
