If you currently use Klarna with an open-ended direct agreement, you can switch to Klarna via Paytrail. If your Klarna agreement is fixed-term, or you’re unsure about the termination terms, contact Klarna for confirmation before making changes. Then activate Klarna in Paytrail, disable your direct Klarna integration in your online store or e-commerce platform, and terminate your agreement with Klarna once the switch is complete.
Step-by-step: switch from Klarna direct to Klarna via Paytrail
-
Activate Klarna in Paytrail
Sign in to the Merchant panel. From Payment methods, activate Klarna.
-
Disable the direct Klarna integration in your online store or e-commerce platform
Once Klarna is active in Paytrail, disable your direct Klarna integration so your online store or e-commerce platform uses Klarna via Paytrail instead.
-
Terminate your direct Klarna agreement
Contact Klarna to confirm how your direct agreement can be terminated, including any notice period or required steps. Once Klarna is active via Paytrail and your integration has been updated, terminate your direct agreement according to Klarna’s instructions.
Klarna Portal Portal access when activating via Paytrail
When you activate Klarna via Paytrail, a new Klarna merchant ID is added to your Klarna Portal Portal. If you already have Klarna credentials from a previous Klarna integration, you will not receive a new portal invitation. Use your existing Klarna credentials to sign in to the Klarna Portal Portal.
In the Klarna Partner Portal, you can use the dropdown menu to select the Klarna account you want to manage. If you have multiple Klarna setups, make sure you select the Klarna account created through Paytrail when needed.
The account admin in the Klarna Partner Portal is responsible for managing user access. The admin can add other users who need access, for example to handle disputes and chargebacks.
Contact our customer service team if you have questions about your Klarna Partner Portal access.
